As baseball season wraps up and football once again reigns supreme, the cool nights and beautiful days can only mean one thing; the OCMA HR Day is approaching! The OCMA HR Day meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The meeting will start with lunch at 11:30 AM in Room E-151 and the general membership meeting will be held in Room E-150.
The OCMA HR Committee
has once again created a program that will be of interest to not only HR
managers, but also, to foundry owners and plant managers.
John Sinclair, Mercer, will identify different strategies to control health
care costs. Courtney Daugherty, GM-Powertrain-Defiance, will discuss the
fundamentals of responding to media challenges. Joe Cuske, Plant Manager,
Griffin Wheel Company, will provide a personal perspective about what it
is like to respond to the media after a fatal accident in the plant. OCMA
Counsel Mike Frantz, Frantz Ward LLP, will provide a legal update outlining
several important legal developments. Finally, Vice President for Environmental
Affairs Dennis Baker, Flowserve Corporation, will report his environmental
update.
