April 2004 Meeting |
April 21, 2004
The next OCMA meeting which will be a tour of the Honda
of America Mfg., Inc. Anna Engine Plant on Wednesday, Despite tonight’s
predicted low temperature of 23 degrees, it’s less than three weeks
until Spring! Beautiful weather is on its way. Well, with NCAA March Madness
and baseball’s Opening Day just around the corner, it must be time
for an OCMA special event. Very special indeed. Long-time OCMA member Sam
Clark and Janean Reish have arranged a tour of the Honda of America Mfg.,
Inc. Engine Plant in Anna. Some of you “old timers” may recall
that we last toured the Anna Plant more than ten years ago. This year’s
tour will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2004.
As with our previous tours, we will tour the Anna Engine Plant in two shifts, an AM shift and a PM shift. The AM shift will begin with an orientation meeting at 9:30 AM. Lunch for everyone will be held at the Holiday Inn in Sidney south on I75 from Anna beginning at 11:30 AM. The PM shift will begin soon after the luncheon with orientation beginning at approximately 1:00 PM
Detailed instructions concerning parking, entering the grounds and facility, a map to the Holiday Inn in Sidney, and other tour info will be e-mailed or faxed to meeting registrants.
Important: Honda has asked that we limit participation to forty persons per shift or eighty (80) total, so please do not wait until the last minute to register. The limited spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis with potential limits on registrants per company.
Please bring eye protection.
