Please mark your 2004 calendars! On Tuesday, February 24, 2004, the Ohio Cast Metals Association and RMT, Inc. will be conducting an educational seminar on industrial ventilation in the metal casting industry. Recently the AFS Safety and Health Committee (10Q) published a new ventilation manual, "Managing the Foundry Indoor Air Environment". Bob Scholz of RMT, Inc., principal author of the manual, and other members of RMT, Inc. will present topics discussed in the manual. A copy of the manual will be provided to each participant. The manual stresses an integrated approach to ventilation that metal casters are finding to be effective in achieving indoor air objectives. The seminar will include "hands on" problem solving in a collaborative environment and will allow sufficient time to discuss "real world" ventilation issues that you may be experiencing at your facility. The timing of this seminar is very appropriate given the likely tightening of the OSHA crystalline silica standard. So please mark the date; Tuesday, February 24, 2004. |
