OCMA Board of Trustees authorizes an expanded BAT study of cost-effectiveness of controls on potential VOC emissions from core/mold making operations for very large foundries.
BAT study shows VOC controls too expensive for foundries of any size.
This is an accomplishment of great consequence, saving Ohio foundries
millions of dollars for air pollution control equipment and maintenance,
and protecting them from the potential loss of business. Working together
we have made a significant impact.
Ohio EPA and USEPA agree to exempt all foundries from the
"eight and forty" rule.
