Today, more than 400 foundries manufacture a wide variety of iron and non-ferrous castings to make Ohio the leading metal casting state at 13%0 of the nation's total of 3200 foundries. The Cleveland/ Akron area alone supports more than 150 foundries.

At 4% of the state's workforce, the Ohio metal casting industry's 38,000 jobs, largely with full benefit packages and good wages, are just the beginning.
